This photograph was taken on 7 January 2023 in Kithulgala, Central Sri Lanka, during a peaceful afternoon stroll with my family. The bridge crosses the Kelani River, known for its role in the movie The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) and now popular for white-water rafting.
"Dare!" holds personal significance for me. At the time, I was facing a difficult moment, dealing with a major personal challenge that had happened just days earlier, and recovering from Dengue. While the shot itself wasn’t planned with any deeper meaning, Dare! came to symbolize a time of uncertainty and big decisions. Despite the instability I felt ahead, a new path began to reveal itself. Thankfully, I found the courage to move forward, one step at a time.
